Merchant's Wife You scored 65% nobility, 28% magic, 26% slavery, and 63% practicality! |
| You are the wife of a Viking merchant. You're more well-traveled than others, and probably live in one of the famous Viking trading towns, like Birka, Kaupang, or Ribe. Heck! You might not even live in Scandinavia! You could live in Dublin, Novgorod, or elsewhere. You've likely got lots of gold and amber jewelry and run a large household, but your husband is away a lot. You are a free woman and your life pretty much rocks. |

Dear Santa...
Dear Santa,
This year I've been busy!
In August I bought porn for ranalf_lj (-10 points). In September I pushed silvernik in the mud (-17 points). In June I didn't flush (-1 points). Last Wenesday I bought porn for looking4tarzan (10 points). In January on a flight to Pakistan, I stole the emergency flight information card (-40 points).
Overall, I've been naughty (-58 points). For Christmas I deserve a moldy sandwich!
Sincerely, pogglemad | |

All the speculative letters that I sent to all the banks and building society's in the centre of town seems to have paid off. I have an interview with Cheltenham and Gloucester next week.
My mum came up to Nottingham for a few days and she got me a new pair of boots. My old pair have a hole in the front of them which would not do for an interview.
I now have a set of 12 arrows and a quiver to put them. I am currently working on a gambeson for York so I will hopefully be nice and warm. simon_devreux is currently working on my mailshirt. Current Mood: productive |

The new TV arrives tomorrow so will be able to watch tv in colour, have better picture quality without it being black and white and fuzzy and finally be able to watch videos! Last week I started to send out job applications and CVs. This morning in the post I received an application form which needs to be completed and returned by tomorrow even though I had sent a CV. This was also sent back to me. Hopefully I should get some interviews! Current Mood: frustrated |

On Saturday I received my long awaited birthday present - Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince. Started reading it straight away and completed it on Sunday.
Yesterday I completed filling in a job application form for a payroll assistant job at the local council.
The TV also died yesterday (arrrghhhhhh) but luckily managed to borrow one from simon_devreux brother.
Today have been trying to complete the forms for the jobcentre - nightmare.

Long time no post
Have finally decided that it's time to start working again, so on Tuesday went round all the recruitment agencies to see if I could sign up with them. However everyone that I went too said exactly the same thing - no office experience therefore we can't find you anything. So in the end decided that the only logical thing to do was to go to the jobcentre! Not that I will get any money from them. Well, anyway my driving is improving and I have learnt all 3 manoeuvres, just need to practice them and be able to anticipate situations more. Hopefully I will take my driving test soon. Have currently been making a new tunic which is going to be completely hand sewn and should be ready in time for Detling. |

Had great fun at Islip and the cooking was excellent thanks to rufus .
On the first day I managed to survive the battle with one hit point remaining and got a shot on a mailed warrior and a squishy which normally doesn't happen!
Went and did archery on the last day in the morning and ended up with sore fingers !
Hope to see people at the next show |
